Once these products are available through retailers, vending machines, and other companies, Coca-Cola has to determine who they want to make consumers aware of their beverages. The communication model is the way for marketers to determine how their messages will work. The first area of the model is the sources. In this part of the model, the company or individual within a company will develop an idea. This idea is a way in which Coca-Cola can convey their chosen method to consumers through TV commercials, sales personnel, and other forms of advertisement. Additionally, when companies decide they would like to use a celebrity to communicate their products, details regarding the advertisement are discussed in this step. The company uses Social Media websites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to communicate to consum ers. Additionally, the company has websites for each specific brand it owns as well as a Coca-Cola website that gives an overview of the company. By using a variety of methods, the company is able to reach its target market and communicate messages to consumers all over. The next area of the communication model is receiver. The receiver is the consumer who is hearing or seeing the message the company is trying to communicate. When marketing its products, Coca-Cola intends for many consumers to see the message it is getting out. Going back to Coca-Colaââ¬â¢s campaign of ââ¬Å"Taste the Feeling,â⬠the company has to project this message to consumers and hope they all interpret it a similar way. By creating a TV commercial, the company was able to appeal to a wide variety of consumers while also using a method that would appeal to a large portion of the target market. With the Anthem commercial, the company projected the image of sitting around with friends and family and reminiscing.
